Google Stops Showing Ads to People Who Don’t Click on Them

Let’s do an experiment.

First, go to Google and search for a term, let’s say “computer“. Now, I see this:

Notice the blue box containing advertisements?

Now, click on “Search” a couple more times, until you don’t see the blue boxed ads anymore:

It looks like Google is stopping to show ads to people who don’t click on them. I clicked on “Search” about 4-5 times before Google stopped showing the ads to me.

There are no secrets to earning money online.

All you need is an idea, a good one.

The idea that you have is unique only to yourself, thus ensuring no or low competition when you initially launch your site.

There are a few mistakes which new webmasters (including me) :

  • Do not focus too much of your attention on Google Adsense!
    • Why? Simple. It’s a detrimental habit! If you have a good site, advertisers will WANT your site. You don’t have to beg them for admittance into their network. Just focus on developing the website, and the fruits of your effort will undoubtly grow from it.
  • Clearly define what website you want (your niche).
    • It should be something you’re good in. This is important because it determines how good the content of your website is. As always, frequent updates are always essential in retaining your visitors. If you want to run a community website (forums etc), you should be moderately knowledgeable in the subject and carry out activities which the community loves. Put yourself in their shoes and ask yourself “What makes me stay on this website?”.

  • Networking.
    • Start building relationships with other webmasters. The more the better. If both you and the webmaster owns small websites, you will probably trade links and increase your exposure. They might even blog about you too. You never know what you might run into, so having contacts of other webmasters will be useful in the future.
  • During the initial stages of your website, don’t scout around for advertisers.
    • Just like the first point on not focusing too much on Google Adsense, you must not spend too much effort finding for advertisers when you first start your website. Instead, concentrate on building a good environment for your visitors. Brainstorm for ideas, and implement them. The need for you to stimulate the website in its early development is extremely vital. A good start will provide a boost to its growth rate. The main thing is, focus on your website first, not on how to make money from it.

I hope that this concise article helped you to focus on what you need to do!

Good luck in your quest of earning money online!
